Bakersfield Vision 2020 -- The Bakersfield Californian series

"Our Future ... Our Responsibility"
For nearly two years, a broad-based group of community volunteers has gathered public comments and research on a critical issue -- the future of Greater Bakersfield for the next generation.

Their report was released to the public on Jan. 29, 2001.

In a seven-day series running Jan. 29 through Feb. 4, 2001, The Bakersfield Californian looks at the committee's suggested course and vision for the future. Each day's stories will be archived on this Web site.

As part of the series, the Californian and bakersfield.com have placed a copy of the report on the Internet and are offering a forum for public comments on the final document.
