Graduates leave principal after six years together

James Hollen has known his graduating students longer than most high school principals.

"For me, this year's class is special because I was the principal at their junior high, so we have been together six years," he said.

Nearly 240 Tehachapi High School seniors graduated at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the campus football stadium.

Hollen said the graduating class would be leaving a class gift for the school's new site, but it was not known what the gift would be.
