Stockdale honors 10 valedictorians

The Stockdale High School graduation was held Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Bakersfield College Memorial Stadium.

The black, silver and white saw 548 students graduating. The school honored 10 valedictorians and no salutatorians.

According to Principal Randy Grueber, who spoke before the ceremony, the very close class will have a traditional ceremony.

"This is a very sensitive and emotionally close class that show a lot of care and concern for each other. They have been individually and collectively successful and have provided great leadership."

An electronic marquee mounted on the north side of the cafeteria will be donated by the class of 2001.
