Graduates plan to leave tree

Although the 20 graduating students of Maricopa High School are leaving the campus, they plan to leave something in their place: a tree.

Karen Berry, high school secretary, said the graduating class plans to plant a tree on campus.

The Maricopa High School graduation was held at 7 p.m. Thursday in the campus auditorium. This year's valedictorian was Casandra Pierce.
