Students prepare to go separate ways

Dr. Seuss' book "Oh, the Places You'll Go" was the theme of this year's Bakersfield Christian High School graduation.

"That has become somewhat of a theme for them," said Jerry Meadows, academic dean. "Some are going out of state. They're feeling a little sense of loss losing friends. Some of these kids have been together since sixth and seventh grade."

The 7 p.m. graduation of the 37 students took place at Olive Drive Church, which also is where classes are held.
